Our Little Kangaroo

Once Quinlan was off the CPAP machine and more stable, we were allowed 1 hour/day of Kangaroo Care, where Quinlan would be paced on mom's chest for skin to skin contact. The nurses would get him out of the isolette and place him on mom inside her shirt with a blanket over top to keep him warm. Quinlan loves this time, he completely relaxes, and falls right asleep. The hope is that he should start to try and feed soon to get him ready for eventual breast feeding.

Currently all his food goes through an NG tube, but he is on a strict diet of mom's breast milk every 3 hours. Mom has been able to pump on the 3 hour schedule and keep up with his rising demands.
