Quinlan had a rather relaxed Saturday spending most of the time on dad or mom in the living room. A lovely midday nap was enjoyed by mom and Quinlan while dad was helping to set up the video for the monthly world peace meeting at the Buddhist Center.
Today we ventured out for the first time and had many adventures, starting with attending the world peace meeting at 9 AM. Quinlan enjoyed the chanting but began to add his own dialogue to the presentations so mom had to entertain him outside of the main room. He was adored by many and now has 2 Japanese girlfriends, ages 5 and 11.
We then headed home to regroup, pump, change a diaper, and get another bottle ready (Quinlan drank his 1st bottle at the Buddhist Center). Then it was a short drive to Prospect Hill park for Tzippy's 1 year old outdoor birthday party. There were many cool Somerville parents in attendance, and we won for youngest guest present.
Quinlan stayed on dad in the Baby Bjorn and enjoyed his first outdoor bottle. Mom and dad munched on yummy samosas, homemade hummus, and pineapple cake.
We then headed over to the Artist's Asylum to participate in Somerville Open Studios and to enjoy some of our friends' exhibits, especially those of the Firefly Arts Collective. We actually got to experience some of these exhibits in the woods at previous Firefly gatherings. We will unfortunately be unable to attend this year as Mr. Wiggle Butt is too young. However, we are looking at next year as a definite possibility!
We have too more sets of visitors tonight and then Sunday's Big Adventure comes to a close and dad tries to get some sleep before wrangling sixth graders in Somerville tomorrow.
