At the Cape

We had our first overnight adventure with the Winizters on the Cape over July 3rd-4th. The first challenge was the drive down as Quinlan has taken a serious dislike to his carseat. We made sure to feed him first and he actually lasted 1hr and 15 min without any major fits. Of course, our drive was 1hr 40 min, but all we needed to do was pull over and feed him prior to continuing.
We took him to a local beach on a nearby pond (we stayed in Harwich), and used the baby beach shade pop-up loaned to us by Josh & Phil. They were correct in their assessment that it was quite easy to set up, had a tendency to blow away in the wind, and was quite challenging to return to its case. Mom and dad took turns watching Q and swimming and baby Iliana went in the water with her mom, Zalika. She is 7+ months and just finished her swimming lessons. Quinlan got a little over tired/over stimulated on the beach and let everyone know it. Dad was able to calm him down bouncing in the carrier before we drove back home. Dad then grilled up some root veggies for dinner, yum!
